Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 28, 2026 • Effective Immediately for all C3Vault Accounts
Zero-Knowledge Guarantee
We cannot view, decrypt, or inspect your stored files or filenames.
Client-Side Encryption
Files are locked on your device before being sent to the cloud.
Encrypted Metadata
File names and types are encrypted so no one can see what you store.
1. Our Core Commitment: Non-Custodial Privacy
At C3Vault, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. C3Vault is designed so that your data is encrypted right inside your web browser before it leaves your hands. We do not hold, see, or possess your encryption keys or account passwords.
2. Information We Store vs. Information We Cannot See
What We NEVER See or Collect:
- Your account password or encryption keys
- Unencrypted file contents or photos
- Readable file names, file extensions, or file types
- Decryption keys inside private share links
Minimal Data Required to Run Your Account:
- Basic account login credentials and security tokens
- Encrypted metadata required to render your encrypted file list
- Scrambled, encrypted binary data blocks stored in high-security cloud facilities
- Payment confirmation and lifetime storage license tier status
3. Private Share Links
When you share a file with someone, the file decryption key is included inside the private link. Browsers do not transmit this private key section to servers when requesting web pages, ensuring that your shared file keys remain strictly private to you and your recipient.
4. Copyright & DMCA Compliance
C3Vault respects intellectual property rights. Because all stored data is client-side encrypted, C3Vault operators cannot preview or inspect user file contents. In the event of a valid copyright notice accompanied by a direct link key, C3Vault will take appropriate action in accordance with applicable copyright laws.
5. Contact Privacy Team
If you have any questions regarding data privacy or security, please reach out to our privacy team at privacy@c3vault.com.
